Underpinning
The most important part of underpinning is to have your permits in line and a competent engineer. Then deal with a contractor that is licensed and has experience with this type of job. Your home is your biggest investment and this is a job for only licensed professionals. Ontario Reno Services has many years experience and is licensed with Metro Licensing. Before choosing your contractor, be sure to investigate with Metro Licensing if that contractor has any infractions against them and again, is fully licensed and qualified to do the work.

The images below are an underpinning project we recently completed with a new back entrance to the basement. Custom form work was needed. This job included a new concrete back deck and a new mudroom with posts to carry up to second floor.
The basement on this project was lowered 3 feet with concrete and rebar pours.
This home, like many we have done, is a rubble wall basement that had to be chipped and joints re-pointed before underpinning could be started. All of our projects are engineered and checked as work proceeds with engineer on standby. We are doing a complete basement rebuild here.
Finishing the interior renovation in the basement after underpinning. Beautiful and dry, a long way from the old damp rubble stone basement that was there. We at Ontario Reno Services are proud of just another reno nearly completed. Here are a few pictures of the basement.
